God loves books! He put 66 of them in the best book ever! And over my life time I have had the privilege of being involved in book writing and publishing for close on sixty years! I thank God that I had the joy of seeing Sovereign World Ltd become part of Ellel Ministries, publishing many vital Christian books from many different authors – books which have been a constant source of blessing to people across the nations.
For thirty-five years Sovereign World also published all the books Fiona and I wrote. It was, therefore, a very sad moment when I heard at the beginning of this year that Ellel was closing down the company, which meant that our books would no longer be available to the Body of Christ. Urgent action was needed to protect the future of our writings.
God has always used the written word to preserve and share His truth. And, in this electronic age, the written word is spread farther and faster than ever before. As I pondered what had happened, I knew deep in my spirit that God was saying that the day of our books was not over, and that He was opening a wider door for them!
I remembered how, undeterred, William Carey had to start again in India in 1812. Ten years of painstaking translation work had gone up in flames and was destroyed in a matter of minutes. His determination to press on and do it all again has always inspired me. From the many letters and emails I receive, I know that our books have brought vital teaching and much healing to many people. And I know, too, that there are books yet to be written that will need to be published.
So, a new determination arose in my own heart to start again, so that all our teaching and ministry books would remain available to the Body of Christ.
“Once a publisher, Always a publisher!”
In my younger days, publishing was the bread and butter of my everyday business life. I knew what needed to be done, and I know, too, that nothing is ever wasted in the Kingdom of God! So, ignoring the reality of my age, I set about building a new publishing operation that would once again supply believers with the written fruit of our forty years of pioneering in the Kingdom.
PHP Books (Peter Horrobin Publishing) is the result. I only decided to use my own name so that those who look on-line for our books will find them more easily.
Our son Paul is helping us with all the design and technical side of things, getting our books available on Amazon and relaunching Journey to Freedom. Our daughter, Anne, generously offered to handle all our physical book distribution in the UK through her very successful Christian card company, Just Cards Direct. And our business man, son, Mark, helped with critical business decisions. We are so grateful to them for helping make it all possible.

Dear Peter and Fiona,
It is wonderful that you continue to publish your books! No retirement in the Kingdom of God!
The fruits of your teachings reach into the far, unreached villages of Eastern Uganda, where I was again in March this year. Revival is going on. Hundreds of people come to the Lord and are delivered from demons. Even witchdoctors repent and are set free. Regular they bring their fetishes and then there is a big fire for the Lord! Confusion in the kingdom of darkness because the witchdoctors who are still going on with their practices are loosing many customers. All glory goes to our Lord.
Thank you that you were obedient to the calling of the Lord. May He continue to bless you and be a blessing for many.

Hallelujah for this news. I truly believe in one door shut another door open. We can’t rely on online stuff when who knows everything can suddenly shut down. Having hard copies will always be wise.
